About
Ontario-based photographer, Owen Zilles, has been honing his skills as a documentary photographer for the past several years. Trained as an architectural photographer, Owen has blended his passion for capturing human interaction with the built environment, emerging technology and eco-culture. He holds a BFA from Toronto Metropolitan University.
Owen's practice focuses on capturing the intersections of authority, governance, land use, conflict, and technology. His works are immersive, self-reflective, and meditative explorations that encourage viewers to engage through his technical expertise, attention to detail, and use of technology to consider and subvert historical visual narratives.
